Power Supply and Wiring Systems via Rope Access

Think Access installs cabling, trunking, containment and power distribution equipment at height using IRATA rope access. We support M&E contractors and building owners in completing electrical infrastructure works in locations where scaffold or MEWP access is impractical.

What we do

Cable containment installation

High-level cable containment including cable trays, trunking, conduit and cable ladder systems, forms the backbone of electrical distribution in industrial and commercial buildings. Our rope access teams work alongside your electrical contractor to install containment, pull cables and make off connections at height, removing the need for expensive temporary access equipment.

Power distribution equipment

We install power distribution equipment including busbar systems, switchgear supports, distribution board fixings and earthing connections at height. Where works require isolation of existing live systems, we coordinate closely with your appointed duty holder and electrical contractor to ensure correct permit-to-work arrangements are in place before any works begin.

Data, communications & low-voltage systems

Cable installation at height also covers data, communications and low-voltage systems. We run structured cabling, security system cables, PA and emergency voice communication systems and CCTV cable management in locations inaccessible from floor level, working to your system design drawings throughout.

Working alongside your electrical contractor

Our role is to provide the access capability and physical installation support that makes high-level electrical works achievable without costly scaffold or MEWP hire. We work to your electrical contractor’s programme and under their direction on all technical matters, providing a flexible and responsive resource that integrates cleanly with the wider M&E installation.

Why Think Access

Power infrastructure works at height are often a bottleneck in construction and refurbishment programmes. Think Access removes the access constraint, allowing your electrical contractor to keep pace with the rest of the programme without waiting for scaffold.

F.A.Q’s

We can provide the rope access element alongside your electrical contractor, or we can provide a combined team where our operatives are also electrically qualified. The right approach depends on the scope, we discuss this at tender stage.

Yes. Out-of-hours working is something we carry out regularly. We plan lighting, communication and permit arrangements in advance to ensure safe and efficient night and weekend working.
