Infrastructure & Civil.

Reaching the Structures Others Can’t.

Infrastructure & Civil

Infrastructure assets bridges, viaducts, retaining walls, tunnels, masts and public realm structures, present access challenges that conventional methods struggle with.

The geometry is complex, the environment is often exposed, and the disruption caused by scaffolding or lane closures can be significant. Rope access removes most of those problems.

Think Access provides inspection, maintenance and specialist trades access to infrastructure and civil assets for local authorities, highways contractors, Network Rail supply chain partners and asset management companies across the UK.

What We Deliver

Specialist access services that keep civil infrastructure maintained and inspected.

Inspection Services

Visual surveys, crack mapping and NDT support on bridges, viaducts, masts, retaining walls and other civil structures requiring close-access assessment.

Painting & Coating

Anti-corrosion painting and coating systems applied to structural steelwork on bridges and civil assets, including overcoat and full system replacement.

Leak Detection & Repair

Identification and repair of water ingress on bridge decks, abutments, tunnel linings and other civil structures, with minimal traffic disruption.

Insulation

Thermal and acoustic insulation works on pipework and plant associated with civil infrastructure, where conventional access is impractical.

Rigging & Lifting

F.A.Q’s

For most inspection, coating and maintenance scopes, yes. Rope access allows direct access to soffits, abutments, piers and steelwork without the temporary works associated with scaffold, reducing cost, programme time and traffic management requirements significantly.

We work on bridges, viaducts, retaining walls, masts, towers, tunnels and public realm structures. If the asset has a surface that needs inspecting, coating or maintaining and conventional access isn’t practical, we’re worth talking to.

Yes. We work for local authorities, Highways England supply chain contractors, Network Rail supply chain partners and private asset management companies. We can provide all the documentation and compliance evidence typically required by public sector clients.

We work closely with the asset owner and their traffic management contractor to minimise footprint. Because rope access requires a smaller working area than scaffold, traffic management requirements are typically reduced — in some cases, works can be carried out without lane closures at all.
