What we do

Applications & substrates

Waterproofing membranes and coatings are applied to a wide range of substrates including concrete, masonry, render, existing cladding and composite panels. Common applications include flat roof waterproofing membranes, concrete facade anti-carbonation coatings, balcony deck waterproofing, retaining wall tanking and bridge structure protection.

Surface preparation

Surface preparation is essential to achieving a durable waterproofing result. We carry out cleaning by pressure washing or hand preparation, repair of surface defects including cracks and spalling concrete, and application of any required primer before the waterproofing product is applied. Continuity of the waterproofing layer at upstands, abutments and detail areas is given particular attention.

Liquid-applied membrane systems

Liquid-applied waterproofing membranes including polyurethane, PMMA, bituminous and cementitious systems are applied using brush, roller, squeegee or spray as appropriate to the product and the access configuration. System selection is based on the substrate, the exposure category and the client’s performance requirements, with products specified to achieve the necessary durability and watertightness.

Documentation & post-application inspection

We provide application records, product certificates and post-application inspection reports at completion. Records cover surface preparation grade, ambient conditions, product details and coverage rates, giving clients a complete and auditable record of the waterproofing works for inclusion in their building maintenance file or asset management records.

Yes. Most liquid-applied systems can be applied in phases, and with appropriate ventilation and fume management, occupied buildings can be treated without displacing occupants.

Product guarantees are available from several waterproofing manufacturers subject to correct application by a certified applicator. We work with manufacturers to provide documented evidence of compliant application in support of these guarantees.
