Confined Space Cleaning via Rope Access.

Think Access carries out cleaning of confined spaces including tanks, silos, culverts, sumps and enclosed structures using IRATA rope access under full confined space entry procedures. We remove sludge, sediment, scale, product build-up and waste material from spaces that cannot be cleaned from outside.

What we do

Cleaning to a defined purpose

Cleaning maintains the operational capacity of storage vessels, prepares surfaces for inspection or coating, removes contaminated material ahead of a change of service, and meets hygiene and environmental compliance requirements. The nature of each operation determines the methods and equipment we use.

Sludge & liquid waste removal

Sludge and liquid waste is removed by vacuum tanker extraction or manual shovelling to a collection container, with the method chosen to suit the access constraints and the volume of material involved.

Solid & encrusted material removal

Scale, crystallised product, cement and similar encrusted material is removed by hand chiselling, high-pressure water jetting or mechanical scarifying. Debris is collected and removed from the space as work progresses.

Monitoring, protection & waste compliance

All cleaning is carried out with atmospheric monitoring and rescue provisions in place throughout. Dust, vapour and chemical exposure is assessed in advance and appropriate respiratory protection is used, and waste is collected and disposed of in compliance with environmental and waste regulations.

Why Think Access

Confined space cleaning is physically demanding, hazardous and not a task for an under-prepared team. Think Access brings the training, the equipment and the procedural rigour to do it safely every time.

F.A.Q’s

We require the vessel to be emptied to a level that allows safe entry before our teams enter. For vessels that retain a residue or cannot be fully drained, we assess the specific risk and may carry out residue removal from outside the space before entry.

Waste classification and disposal method depend on the content. We assess waste composition, classify it appropriately and arrange disposal through a licensed waste contractor, providing waste transfer documentation as required.
