Atmospheric Monitoring for Confined Space Entry via Rope Access.
Think Access provides atmospheric monitoring as a core element of every confined space entry operation using IRATA rope access. We carry calibrated multi-gas detection equipment, trained gas testers and continuous monitoring throughout the duration of all confined space works.

What we do

A legal safety control
Atmospheric monitoring is a legal requirement under the Confined Spaces Regulations 1997 and a fundamental control for any entry. An enclosed atmosphere can change rapidly and without warning — oxygen can deplete, toxic gases accumulate and flammable vapours build from product residues or biological decomposition. Continuous monitoring detects these changes before they reach dangerous levels.

Calibration & records
Equipment is calibrated at regular intervals in accordance with manufacturer requirements, and calibration records are maintained — so every reading can be trusted and evidenced.

Trained, dedicated gas testers
Our gas testers are trained in the operation and limitations of the equipment, the significance of readings in the context of the specific space, and the actions to take if an alarm activates. Monitoring is carried out by a dedicated person at the entry point — this role is never combined with other duties during an entry.
Why Think Access
Continuous atmospheric monitoring is not a formality — it is a genuine life safety control. Think Access treats it as such, providing trained personnel and calibrated equipment on every confined space operation.
