Energy from Waste.

Multi-Trade Capability on Complex EfW Projects.

Energy from Waste

Energy from waste plants are among the most technically demanding construction and maintenance environments in the UK.

Tight programmes, multiple principal contractors, high-temperature and corrosive process environments, and increasingly stringent passive fire protection requirements all combine to create a project type where access and specialist trades need to be managed with precision.

Think Access has direct experience on EfW construction programmes , delivering rope access, fireproofing, cladding, roofing and specialist trades works and understands the pace and complexity these projects demand.

What We Deliver

Steel Erection

Rope access support for steel erection sequences where traditional elevated platforms are impractical or programme-critical.

Electrical Installations

Electrical installation works at height via rope access, integrated into the construction programme.

Rainwater & Siphonic Systems

Installation of rainwater and siphonic drainage systems via rope access during construction and fit-out phases.

F.A.Q’s

Yes. We have direct experience on EfW construction programmes delivering rope access alongside fireproofing, cladding and specialist trades. We understand the programme structure, the principal contractor environment and the technical demands of these projects.

Yes. Fireproofing application is one of our core service lines. We apply intumescent and cementitious systems to structural steelwork in process areas, working to the specification and programme requirements set by the principal contractor or fire engineer.

We integrate into the principal contractor’s programme and attend site meetings as required. Our supervisors coordinate directly with other subcontractors on sequencing, and our teams are experienced working within busy, multi-package construction environments without disrupting adjacent trades.

Yes. We work across both construction and operational phases on EfW assets, providing maintenance access, inspection, coating and repair services once the plant is live. Keeping the same contractor across both phases reduces handover risk and means the team already knows the asset.
