What we do

Permanent guardrail & handrail installation

Permanent guardrail and handrail systems are required on any roof or elevated area with a fall risk where regular access is needed for maintenance, plant operation or inspection. We install systems in stainless steel, mild steel and powder-coated aluminium, fixed to structural deck, parapet walls or steel kerbing depending on the substrate and load requirements.

Compliance & specification

All systems are designed and installed to meet BS EN ISO 14122 or BS 4592 as appropriate, with post spacing, top rail height and infill arrangements verified against specification. For plant rooms and maintenance access routes, we can integrate stairs, kick plates and anti-slip flooring with the guardrail system to create a complete safe access solution.

Non-penetrating systems for membrane roofs

Semi-permanent handrail systems installed using non-penetrating base plates are an option for membrane roofs where penetrations must be avoided. These systems are ballasted or anchored without piercing the waterproofing layer, and are removable if the roof needs replacement in future, making them a practical long-term solution.

Where a roof or elevated area requires a fully coordinated access solution, we design and install the full package. Guardrail, access hatches, fixed ladders, anti-slip walkways and plant access platforms. Ensuring every element meets the relevant standards and works as a coherent, inspectable system.

Yes. We plan the installation sequence to work around operational plant, and can carry out works in phases or outside operational hours if required.

Yes. Permanent systems should be inspected at least annually by a competent person, and after any event that may have caused damage, such as a vehicle strike or storm. We can provide regular inspection services as part of an ongoing maintenance contract.
