What we do

Access support for annual testing

Annual testing and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems is a regulatory requirement for most commercial and industrial premises. In high-bay buildings, accessing detectors, sprinkler heads, sounders and other system components for testing is a significant challenge. Our rope access teams work alongside your fire system contractor, providing safe access to every component at height without the cost or delay of scaffold or MEWP hire.

Detection system maintenance

We assist with alarm testing by holding equipment in position while test signals are applied, replacing detector heads and sounder units at height, checking and testing battery-backed emergency systems, and documenting the condition of all components accessed during the maintenance visit. All replacement works are carried out to the manufacturer’s installation instructions.

Sprinkler system inspection & head replacement

Sprinkler system maintenance includes annual inspections of heads, pipework and water flow alarms, with heads replaced in accordance with manufacturer and loss prevention guidelines. We provide the access for these inspections, with your fire system contractor carrying out the technical assessment and certifying the system on completion.

Working alongside your fire contractor

Our role is to make every component accessible and to support the works physically positioning, holding, replacing and recording while your qualified fire system contractor retains responsibility for all technical decisions, system assessment and certification. This division of responsibility keeps your compliance obligations clearly with the right party throughout.

Why Think Access

Untested and inadequately maintained fire systems are a regulatory liability and a genuine safety risk. Think Access removes the access barrier to thorough maintenance, keeping your fire protection systems in reliable and compliant condition.
