Graffiti and Stain Removal via Rope Access.

Think Access removes graffiti, paint, staining and chemical contamination from high-level facades, bridges, infrastructure and commercial buildings using IRATA rope access. We assess the substrate and apply the most appropriate removal method, leaving surfaces clean without damage.

What we do

Graffiti removal at height

Graffiti on high-level surfaces spray paint, marker pen, paint roller and adhesive stickers requires chemical removal using appropriate solvents or gels, often supplemented by pressure washing. We carry out graffiti removal using professional-grade removal products, applying and dwelling the product for an appropriate time before washing or wiping off. Multiple applications may be required for heavily embedded graffiti or on porous substrates that have absorbed the paint.

Substrate-matched treatment

The removal method must be matched to the substrate masonry requires different treatment to glass, coated cladding, polished stone or painted steel. We assess the substrate and the graffiti type before selecting products, ensuring effective removal without surface damage. Where complete removal is not achievable without risk to the substrate, we discuss options including surface treatment or over-painting with the client before proceeding.

Anti-graffiti coating application

Anti-graffiti coatings applied following removal provide a sacrificial surface that prevents future graffiti from bonding to the substrate, making subsequent removal significantly easier. We apply both permanent and sacrificial anti-graffiti coatings as part of a combined removal and protection programme, reducing the long-term cost and effort of managing graffiti on repeatedly targeted elevations.

Reactive callout & planned programmes

For buildings in areas of persistent graffiti activity, we provide both reactive callout response and planned protection programmes. Rapid removal is important graffiti left in place encourages further attacks. Our rope access capability means we can respond to high-level graffiti quickly, without the lead time required to mobilise scaffold or cherry picker access for what is often a relatively small area of work.

Why Think Access

High-level graffiti is particularly damaging to the appearance and perceived safety of commercial properties in urban locations. Think Access removes it quickly, reaching heights that ground-based contractors cannot.

F.A.Q’s

Most spray paint and marker graffiti can be removed, though heavily embedded paint on porous masonry may leave a shadow. We assess the substrate and the graffiti type before work begins and advise on the expected outcome.

Yes. We can respond within 24 to 48 hours for reactive graffiti removal, particularly in urban areas where rapid response is important to deter repeat incidents.
