High-Level Pressure Washing via Rope Access.

Think Access carries out high-level pressure washing on industrial and commercial structures using IRATA rope access. We remove surface build-up from cladding, roofs, steelwork, concrete and ductwork at any height, without scaffold and with minimal disruption to operations.

What we do

High-pressure washing at height

High-pressure water washing is the most effective method for removing heavy surface soiling, moss, algae, biological growth and general atmospheric contamination from building surfaces. At height, this work is impractical without specialised access. Our rope access teams carry industrial pressure washing equipment to any elevation, delivering the same cleaning performance as ground-level operations without the cost or disruption of scaffold.

Substrate-matched pressure and technique

We adjust water pressure, nozzle type and washing technique to suit the substrate. High-pressure washing on delicate surfaces such as render, polycarbonate cladding and painted steelwork is carried out at reduced pressure with fan nozzles to avoid damage. On robust surfaces including concrete, profiled steel and brick, high-pressure rotary nozzles remove embedded soiling effectively without risk to the substrate.

Water management & environmental compliance

Water management during high-level washing is handled through appropriate containment measures including drip sheets, ground protection and direction of runoff to suitable drainage points. We comply with applicable environmental regulations regarding runoff from cleaning operations containing biological material or detergents, and manage containment and disposal accordingly on every visit.

Pre-treatment & biocide application

Where biological growth is heavy or persistent, pre-treatment with appropriate biocide products improves cleaning results and extends the period before re-growth occurs. We apply biocide treatments as part of the same visit where appropriate, allowing dwell time before washing to maximise effectiveness, and can include periodic biocide re-treatment as part of a planned facade maintenance programme.

Why Think Access

Pressure washing at height is one of the most practical applications of rope access. Think Access makes it happen on structures of any size and complexity.

F.A.Q’s

In most cases, yes. We direct water runoff away from operational areas and can work above production lines or storage areas with appropriate protection for equipment and product below.

Pressure is selected based on the substrate. We use 80 to 150 bar for concrete and masonry, 40 to 80 bar for profiled steel cladding, and 15 to 40 bar for painted surfaces and polycarbonate. We always test on a small area first.
