What we do

Chemical-free cleaning with steam

Steam cleaning uses superheated steam at high pressure to break down grease, biological contamination, food residues and general soiling without the need for chemical detergents. The steam condenses on the surface and lifts contamination, which is then wiped or vacuumed. The low water volume means less runoff, making steam particularly appropriate for enclosed spaces and areas where water management is difficult.

Applications at height

Applications include degreasing of overhead structural steelwork in food production facilities where chemical contamination would be unacceptable, cleaning of HVAC ductwork and fan units, sanitising of dairy, brewing and pharmaceutical plant, and removal of biological contamination including bird dropping accumulations from inaccessible locations. Rope access makes all of these applications achievable at any building height.

Safe operation in working environments

Our steam cleaning equipment is sized for high-level working, and our rope access teams are trained in its operation and in the management of hot steam in working environments. Personal protective equipment is selected to protect against burn risk from condensing steam, and working methods are adapted to ensure the safety of both our teams and any personnel working in areas below.

F.A.Q’s

We do not steam clean live electrical equipment. For de-energised equipment, steam can be effective for removing grease and dust from motor housings, switchgear enclosures and cable management. We confirm isolation before any cleaning of electrical components.

Yes. The temperature of superheated steam is effective in killing mould spores as well as removing visible growth. It is a preferred method in buildings where chemical treatments are undesirable.
