What we do

Painting at height without scaffold

Painting at height on large structures is a significant logistical challenge by conventional means. Scaffold costs, programme time and operational disruption are all substantial. Rope access eliminates these constraints, allowing our teams to work on any external surface from any height, applying paint systems to specification in a fraction of the time and cost of scaffold-based approaches.

Full painting sequence

We carry out the full painting sequence surface preparation, priming, intermediate coats and finish coats using brush, roller and spray application as appropriate to the surface, the product and the environment. Masking, protection of adjacent surfaces and management of overspray are all incorporated into our working methods as standard.

Industrial structure programmes

For large industrial structures including bridges, towers, tanks, process plant and structural frames, we develop systematic painting programmes that cover the full structure in a logical sequence. Correct coverage and wet film thickness are maintained at every stage, with each coat inspected before the next is applied.

Quality documentation

Quality documentation including ambient condition records, wet and dry film thickness measurements and photographic evidence is provided throughout the works. Records are maintained in a format suitable for inclusion in the project quality plan or asset maintenance file, giving clients a complete and auditable coating history for the structure.

Why Think Access

Paint applied properly at height on the right substrate, using the right product, lasts. Think Access delivers that outcome on any structure, at any height.

F.A.Q’s

Yes. We work with paint suppliers to colour-match existing finishes where required, including bespoke RAL or BS colour specifications.

Most paint products have minimum application temperature requirements, typically 5°C above dewpoint and above 5°C ambient. We monitor conditions and schedule or reschedule painting operations to comply with product requirements.
