What we do

Why drills matter

A rescue plan that is never tested is significantly less effective than one that has been rehearsed. Regular drills identify gaps in the plan, familiarise team members with the equipment and procedures, and build the confidence and muscle memory that is critical when a real rescue happens under pressure.

Realistic, site-specific drills

We facilitate rescue drills for construction and maintenance teams, running through specific scenarios relevant to the actual operation. That includes simulated rescues from the real working positions on site, using the actual equipment and personnel who would carry out the rescue.

Debrief and improve

After each drill we debrief the team, identifying improvements to both the plan and the response — so every exercise leaves the operation better prepared than it was before.

Building in-house capability

For organisations that need to develop their own rescue capability, we provide training and mentoring for in-house teams. This covers rope rescue techniques, equipment operation, casualty handling and rescue planning, delivered by our experienced IRATA rescue-qualified trainers.

Why Think Access

The best time to learn how to carry out a rescue is not when someone’s life depends on it. Think Access helps teams prepare before the emergency, not respond to it afterwards.

F.A.Q’s

Yes. Our drills are always site-specific, using the actual working positions, anchor points and equipment that will be used during the live operation. Generic drills have limited value for site-specific risks.

We provide a record of attendance and a summary of the drill conducted. For formal rescue training that results in a qualification, we recommend engagement with an approved training organisation such as those endorsed by IRATA or EFAV.
