What we do

Inspection frequency requirements

All safety nets must be inspected before first use, after any event that may have affected their condition, and at intervals not exceeding seven days during use a requirement of BS EN 1263-2 and the FASET Code of Practice. For nets in high-risk or long-duration applications, more frequent inspection may be required. Our teams carry out these inspections efficiently, working from ropes to access every part of the installed net.

What the inspection covers

Inspection covers the condition of the net mesh and border rope for damage, cuts and wear, the condition and security of all anchor points, the correct tensioning of the net, the continued absence of objects that could impair net performance, and the general condition of labels and certification markings. Every element of the installed system is checked on each visit.

Written inspection records

Following each inspection we provide a written inspection record confirming the net’s condition and either certifying it for continued use or identifying defects requiring remediation. This document forms part of your site health and safety records and provides the principal contractor with the documented evidence required to demonstrate ongoing compliance.

Defect remediation

Where defects are identified during inspection, we provide clear written recommendations and can carry out remedial works directly re-tensioning, repairing or replacing net elements as required. This single-supplier approach means defects are resolved promptly without the delay of mobilising a separate contractor, keeping your safety system compliant and your programme on track.

Why Think Access

Unverified safety netting is a liability and a genuine risk. Regular inspection by FASET-qualified operatives with IRATA access capability is the most efficient way to maintain compliant netting systems on high-clearance sites.
